2008 Grammy Nominations
Akon, Fergie and Jimmy Jam were among industry folk at the Grammy nominations announcement earlier today. For the third time in his career, Kanye West has the most nominations (eight nods in six categories). Amy Crackhouse came in second with six nominations, with four of them in the four big categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Jay-Z, Timbaland, T-Pain and Justin Timberlake all got five nods each; three of Hov's are for "Umbrella". Akon and Rihanna got four nods each while Beyonce and Alicia Keys got two. Rihanna would have six if she co-wrote "Umbrella". More pics from the announcement below...

Tell me why Justin Timberlake's migrane-inducing song is up for Record of the Year...for real? Overall, the nominations are wack but whatever...music isn't all that great these days.
