New Janet Jackson Album Due In February

Oh well...

Janet Jackson's as-yet-untitled debut album for Island Def Jam will be released in February. The artist is also prepping a worldwide tour to promote the follow-up to 2006's "20 Y.O."

[The album] is being executive produced by Def Jam CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid rather than Jackson's boyfriend, Island Urban president Jermaine Dupri.

Dupri is working on Mariah Carey's new album, which should be out next spring. "We're going to make it seem like we're in competition to see who's going to have the biggest album of the year." (*YAWN* -- RichBoi88)

Wouldn't it be nice if she could just retire? I mean she's cool but she's not the greatest vocalist...and in my opinion, if you're not about the singing, then you should throw in the towel by age 40 (which was over a year ago for her). She looks good but the reality is that she's officially middle-aged. Time's up.
