A Chicago judge ordered a hearing for a forensic expert to explain the methods she will use to prove that R. Kelly is indeed the man having sex with an underage girl on a videotape.

According to MTV News, forensic expert Dr. Sharon Cooper says she can prove Kelly is the person in question by comparing the vein patterns on his hand to those of the individual in the video.

Cooper is to explain her procedures during a hearing scheduled for Dec. 18. The judge will then determine whether her methods are acceptable in the scientific community at large.

Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of soliciting a minor for child pornography. In the meantime, he will launch a nationwide tour on Nov. 14 to support his latest album "Double Up." Supporting acts on the 36-city trek include Keyshia Cole, J-Holiday and Ne-Yo.
