Mel B's Husband Is Shady [UPDATED]

AHH is reporting that his last name is really not Belafonte, but Standsbury. He allegedly legally changed his name so people would think he was related to Harry Belafonte (I thought so at one point)...apparently he thought he could pull that one off due to his lightskinnededness.

And that is not all....sonny has BABY MAMA DRAMA. TMZ is reporting that he was sued by the County of Los Angeles back in '06 for failing to pay child support (who knew he had a kid?). Apparently he has a 3-year-old daughter named Giselle. To view the complaint filed againzt him, click here.

UPDATE: Stephen Belafonte allegedly beat his ex-wife (and mother of his daughter) in a drunken rage in 2003. He was put on probation and asked to enrol in a domestic violence program.

One of his ex-girlfriends said he cheated on her repeatedly and described him as an "all-round weirdo" (as we can see).
