New Developments In The Sean Taylor Murder Case

Miami-Dade detectives have detained two teenagers and a man in his 20s in Lee County for questioning in the death of Washington Redskins football star Sean Taylor.
Investigators believe the young men learned of Taylor's house through someone who unwittingly set up the burglary by bragging about the football star's wealth.
The suspects include 17- and 19-year-olds and a 21-year-old. All hail from the Fort Myers area.
The former University of Miami star was not supposed to be home at the time of the break-in. While the Redskins played in Tampa, he had come home to get a second medical opinion on his injured knee.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents and at least two Miami-Dade homicide squads have been in Fort Myers and they picked up the young men Friday morning.
Miami-Dade police briefed Taylor's father, Pedro Taylor, on Friday morning about the case, at the same time that investigators were tracking down the men wanted for questioning.
Taylor was shot early Monday by an intruder who surprised him in the bedroom of his Palmetto Bay home.
Taylor wielded a machete as he tried to protect his fiancée, Jackie Garcia, and their 18-month-old baby girl. The two were hiding under the covers as Taylor was shot.
One bullet pierced the wall. The other struck Taylor in the groin, severing his femoral artery and causing massive blood loss. He died at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Pedro Taylor and his family have set up a memorial scholarship in the name of his son and his granddaughter to help high school and college students.

Rodney King, famous for a videotaped beating from Los Angeles police back in 1991, was shot and wounded on a San Bernardino street corner late Wednesday.
King called Rialto police just before midnight to report the shooting. According to Sgt. Don Lewis, King was struck in the face and arm -- with what appeared to be pellets or birdshot. When police arrived at King's home, they reported that King and others inside appeared drunk. The man got shot in the face -- he deserves a drink!
King was taken to a local hospital, and his wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.

Oh well...
Janet Jackson's as-yet-untitled debut album for Island Def Jam will be released in February. The artist is also prepping a worldwide tour to promote the follow-up to 2006's "20 Y.O."Wouldn't it be nice if she could just retire? I mean she's cool but she's not the greatest vocalist...and in my opinion, if you're not about the singing, then you should throw in the towel by age 40 (which was over a year ago for her). She looks good but the reality is that she's officially middle-aged. Time's up.
[The album] is being executive produced by Def Jam CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid rather than Jackson's boyfriend, Island Urban president Jermaine Dupri.
Dupri is working on Mariah Carey's new album, which should be out next spring. "We're going to make it seem like we're in competition to see who's going to have the biggest album of the year." (*YAWN* -- RichBoi88)

Rapper Birdman, real name Bryan "Baby" Williams, was among 16 people arrested in Kingsport, Tenn. early this evening and is facing drug and possible gun charges.ATTN Rappers: this is getting really old.
Williams, one of the founders of Cash Money Records, was in an RV that was spotted by a police corporal as it made an improper lane change and ran a tractor trailer off the road. When the corporal approached the RV, he said he could smell marijuana coming from inside, and found about a lb. of pot in a trashcan inside the RV. Whoops!
Birdman, his wife, brother and 13 others were each charged with possession of over 1/2 ounce of marijuana. According to the corporal that made the arrest, all 16 people are somehow employed with Cash Money Records.
Cops also found a 2-23 carbine assault rifle, a 9mm handgun and a magazine for .45-cal. handgun. As of now, no gun charges have been filed and the ATF is assisting in the investigation.
A rep for Cash Money Records could not be reached.

The broken star issued a statement yesterday afternoon after crisis talks with her management and tour bosses in London.
The meeting ended with Amy “collapsing in floods of tears” demanding her remaining tour dates were scrapped because she couldn’t cope without husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
In a statement Amy, 24, said: “I can’t give it my all onstage without my Blake. I’m so sorry but I don’t want to do the shows half-heartedly; I love singing. My husband is everything to me and without him it’s just not the same.”

Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, welcomed a baby boy on Monday night, multiple sources tell PEOPLE.
While reps for Usher and Foster were not immediately available for comment, one source says Usher was with his wife and new child Tuesday at an Atlanta hospital, and the family is expected to head home on Wednesday.
Multiple sources told PEOPLE before the birth that the couple planned to name their son Usher Raymond V.
No other details were available.

Memphis Police have charged three men [pictured above] who they say went to a McDonald's restaurant on South Mendenhall and Winchester, dressed as women, and started a fight with employees.
Danny Mitchell and Lynn Gillespie are charged with aggravated assault. A third man, Dacorian Greer is charged with vandalism over $500.
A restaurant employee says he was working in the drive-thru window and there was an argument there. He says when he ignored them men tapping on the window, they came inside and started a fight.
One of the men is accused of hitting the manager in the head with a tire iron (WOW -- RichBoi88). Police say the manager swung back, and the men kicked off their stiletto boots, pulled off earrings and jackets in preparation for a fight (*Passes out* -- RichBoi88).
The manager was taken to the hospital after being hit with a "wet floor" sign. Another employee was treated for scratches.
Investigators say before the men drove off, they smashed the drive-thru window.
Police say they are using surveilliance video to investigate.

Sean Taylor Dies From Gunshot Wound

Sean Taylor, the Washington Redskins safety who was shot early Monday at his home in Miami, has died, according to a family friend. He was just 24.
The Pro Bowl safety had taken a bullet in his upper leg, reports the AP, damaging an artery, causing serious blood loss and loss of consciousness. According to his former lawyer, Richard Sharpstein, Taylor seemed to show signs of recovery when he squeezed a nurse's hand late Monday night, but never regained consciousness thereafter.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating the attack, which occurred when an intruder apparently entered Taylor's home, in what the cops are considering a possibly burglary.

Poor Oprah Winfrey. Not only does she have to deal with the shameful lesbian abuse scandal at her South African girls school, but now a sleazebag is threatening to publish a supposed exposé about her company, Harpo, intended to further embarrass the billionaire Queen of Daytime Talk.
Last year, Keifer Bonvillain was hit with a federal extortion charge after he allegedly tried to sell Winfrey audiotapes for $1.5 million of a high-ranking Harpo employee bad-mouthing her. But the charge didn't hold up in an Illinois court.
Now Bonvillain, 37, who touts himself as a Louisiana-born "civil-rights activist," has launched a Web site in a bid to get a publisher for his exposé, titled "Ruthless."
His breathless pitch reads: "An office manager at Harpo broke his silence and his confidentiality agreement when he spoke freely about Oprah Winfrey's private life and business affairs. Keifer Bonvillain underestimated one of the world's most powerful women when he, armed with clandestinely recorded tapes, decided to write a 'tell-all' book unmasking the famed celebrity. Within days of Harpo learning about the book, two men were attempting to break into Keifer's home - presumably to get the tapes. Oprah was desperate to keep the truth from being revealed . . . The fallout was Keifer's highly publicized arrest."
Bonvillain vows to disclose that Harpo may have been involved in "blatant discrimination . . . This CEO not only knows about these practices . . . she condones them . . . Hours of taped conversations . . . reveal what they don't want the public to know about [Oprah's] private life, and a business that prides itself on its diversity."

November 25, 2007 -- Kimora Lee Simmons overcharged Macy's for her beauty products and then refused to pay back the extra profit, according to a lawsuit filed last week in Manhattan Supreme Court.
In September 2006, four months after Simmons separated from her multimillionaire husband, Def Jam Records co-founder Russell Simmons, she signed an agreement to provide Macy's with her line of cosmetics.
But then she allegedly jacked up the price of her beauty products.
Simmons declined comment.

Washington Redskins Pro Bowl safety Sean Taylor was shot in his home and has been airlifted to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, police said today.
"It could have been a possible burglary, it could have been a possible robbery," Lt. Nancy Perez said. "It has not been confirmed as yet."
Local authorities were called to Taylor's Florida home at 1:45 AM today. The Miami Herald is reporting paramedics found Taylor with a gunshot wound to the groin. ABC-TV 10 in Miami says a family friend told them that Taylor was shot twice.
Taylor is no stranger to guns. Back in 2005, he was accused of brandishing a gun and repeatedly hitting a man during a fight. The felony charges against him were dropped, and he plead no contest to two misdemeanors and was sentenced to 18 months probation.

For nearly 20 years Damon Wayans has been one of the most recognized comedian/actors of African American decent. His most successful solo venture to date has been "My Wife and Kids," which was canceled in 2005.
This time around Wayans is taking a family approach to it again. But this family isn't doing all that great. In fact, the plot line centers around a brother from an often times undeservedly maligned demographic.
"It's about a Katrina transplant who's got diabetes and a clubbed foot and he's pissed off," laughed Wayans during a recent chat with EURweb. "They turn on the TV and just let him talk."
People in the black media who have had the opportunity to speak with any of the Wayans know the jokes are flying a mile a minute, but Damon says he can find humor anywhere...even in Katrina evacuees.
"It's called Mista Leroy Jones, it's a comedy. Just because it came from Katrina doesn't mean it ain't funny." We thought 'C'mon, man! No you ain't doin' no comedy about no Katrina evacuees?' Wayans answered the unasked question by saying the following:
"Comedy has kept us alive. We've laughed in the face of things worse than that. This is real and this is a voice that hasn't been heard."
Ok, Katrina evacuee comedy, fine! But why the brother gotta have a clubbed foot?
"Because I was born with a clubbed foot," reasoned Wayans. "In order to talk noise you have to be able to see why and there's nothing like a orthopedic shoe to let you know, yeah, he must be mad. Carrying around that damn shoe all the time makes him real mad."
Hopefully the concept of Katrina comedy doesn't make the real evacuees real damn mad. In the meantime Wayans tells EURweb that he has just submitted the pilot to ABC for approval a couple of week ago. We'll keep our fingers crossed for him.

Miami Heat superstar Shaquille O’Neal used to hand his soon-to-be-ex-wife a $7,000 stipend every month - which she then spent on her hair and groceries for other relatives.
And although she’s asking a Miami-Dade County court for temporary support from the 7-footer as their divorce unfolds, Shaunie O’Neal, 33, is far from destitute.
The financial affidavit she recently filed shows that the mother of four kids with Shaq may be worth as much as $30 million.
Although neither former lovebird nor their lawyers commented, the paperwork shows Shaunie, who’s been hitched to the big man for five years, lists nearly $450,000 in cash and stocks as assets. The couple’s $25 million Star Island home in Miami Beach, a condo in L.A., a $3.95 million home in Orlando and another condo in Miami also figure on her balance sheet.
And, if you believe the same document, she invested in several businesses, including a Virginia developer ($250,000) and a Los Angeles eatery, Liberty Grill ($250,000).
An occasional reporter for Access Hollywood, Shaunie is far from being all business. She spends a whopping $2,500 a month of Shaq’s cash on her hair.
And the rest of the $7,000 a month, which she claims as her only income, ends up with Shaunie’s brother, parents and sister.
No. 32, who makes $20 million in Heat salary alone, in September filed for divorce with a complaint that called Shaunie “secretive” when it came to her money and hinted that she may have used marital funds without his knowledge. Rumors had it he found out she’d bought a home for a former boyfriend, although the recent filing shows no indication of that.

Ne-Yo Gets Kicked Off The "Double Up" Tour For Upstaging R. Kelly
Well...that's not the official statement but I am forced to believe that it's the basis of this new development...
More drama unfolds with R. Kelly as R&B singer Ne-Yo was suddenly removed from Kelly's latest tour. Kelly's camp cited the lack of a signed contract as the reason for Ne-Yo getting dumped.
Ne-Yo's camp issued a press release about the incident earlier this week, saying Ne-Yo "expressed genuine concern regarding not having the opportunity to complete the tour."
Kelly has been known to have tour trouble. In 2004, he and Jay-Z's conjoined tour came to a halt after Kelly was blasted with pepper spray by a member of Jay-Z's entourage. Jay later said that R. Kelly was a weepy, emotional wreck, prone to crying fits during the duration of their tour. Just recently, Kelly's longtime publicist resigned, citing serious "lines being crossed" as the cause of the split. Somebody is a straight-up diva -- and it ain't Ne-Yo!

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse reportedly sneaked into an aeroplane toilet to smoke a cigarette - and was nabbed by cabin crew.
It's claimed the 24-year-old occupied the lavatory for half the hour-long flight from London to Glasgow.
Reports say she infuriated passengers by locking herself in the cubicle three times - for ten minutes each time.
Eventually a female crew member said over the tannoy: "Our famous little friend is smoking in the toilet. It's just that the smoke alarm hasn't gone off yet," according to The Sun.
Police have said that no complaint has been made - despite smoking on flights being illegal.
The moody singer was rushed away by minders as soon as the plane landed and she swore at a girl who asked her to pose for a photograph.
One of the passengers on the flight told The Sun: "She was lolling in her seat and looked totally out of it.
"She kept locking herself in the toilet. Other passengers were having to troop to the other end of the plane and were getting annoyed."
He said that when the air hostess made her announcement Amy "was so zonked" that she didn't know what was going on.

Alicia Keys didn't go to her own party Tuesday night.
Club promoters had rented out the nightclub Pacha in midtown to fete the beauty's new album, "As I Am," and had allegedly negotiated her appearance to the tune of $15,000. But missing money kept the singer circling the block for nearly an hour while the promoters hustled to find $4,000 to get Keys out of her car and into the club, says our source.
Alicia was slated for a midnight arrival, but by the time 1:30 a.m. rolled around, her bodyguards, friends and even boyfriend were all inside waiting for her. Outside, Keys drove around the neighborhood.
"These promoters were digging in their pockets, looking for cash, and were still short," said another source. "The owner of the club even offered to pay the remainder of the owed money himself, just to get her in the club."

Jay-Z scores his 10th No. 1 album on The Billboard 200, as "American Gangster" (Def Jam) debuts on top this week after selling 425,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The rapper thus ties Elvis Presley in second place for the most No. 1 albums on the chart; only the Beatles have had more, with 19.
Since 1998, all eight of Jay-Z's solo studio albums have hit No. 1, in addition to his "Collision Course" project with Linkin Park and his "Unfinished Business" collaboration with R. Kelly.

Pregnant actress HALLE BERRY is devastated after learning boyfriend GABRIEL AUBRY plans to remain in New York following the birth of their first child next year (08).
The Oscar-winner, who is five months pregnant, planned to raise the tot at her home in Los Angeles - but her French Canadian partner of two years reportedly wants to reside on America's east coast to further his modelling career.
A source says, "She's been shocked by the news. Halle had always assumed Gabriel would move to the west coast so they could live together as one happy family. If Gabriel stays in New York, it'll mean long separations. She knows their relationship won't survive and has been begging him to change his mind." But the 41-year-old actress is determined her baby will not experience the distant relationship she had with her own father.
The source adds, "Halle hardly knew her own dad and they were still estranged at the time of his death, so she's desperate for her daughter to have a father she sees regularly."

An Indian man has married a dog in a Hindu ceremony - to atone for stoning two other dogs to death.
The man, known as Mr Selvakumar, believed he had been cursed by the killings 15 years ago, and wanted to repair the damage done.
An astrologer told him the only way to remove the curse would be to marry a female dog.
The former stray dog named Selvi - now officially known as Mrs Selvakumar - was chosen by the man's family, bathed and dressed in a sari for the celebrations.
The ceremony was carried out at a Hindu temple in the southern state of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
Selvakumar, 33, said he had been suffering since he stoned two dogs to death and hung their bodies from a tree 15 years ago.
"After that my legs and hands got paralyzed and I lost hearing in one ear," he told the Hindustan Times.
The paper said an astrologer had told Selvakumar the wedding was the only way he could cure the maladies. It did not say whether his situation had improved since the wedding.
The paper showed a picture of Selvakumar sitting next to the dog, which was wearing an orange sari and a flower garland.
The paper said the groom and his family then had a feast, while the dog was given a bun.

Jordan and his wife of 17 years separated last year, and now the divorce is nearly finalized. Jordan is now a part of one of the most expensive celebrity divorces of all time, handing over $168 million to his lovely ex-wife Juanita Jordan.
In addition to the $168 mil, Juanita will also get their seven-acre estate in Chicago, as well as custody of their three kids.
One year following their marriage, the two signed a post-nuptial agreement, which entitled Juanita to half of MJ's net worth. She hasn't quite taken half though, as the $168 million is only a third of his wealth. Nevertheless, we're sure she'll be able to "survive" on just the third. The divorce is expected to be finalized soon, as the settlement details are being finished up.

Kanye's Reps Release Statement + Update On His Mother's Death
Kanye's reps are said to have released the following statement last night...
"Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.
After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country.
The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what's behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West's name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute."

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams (pictured above -- RichBoi88) has told TMZ that he was the doctor who performed cosmetic surgery on Kanye West's mother Donda before she died.
Dr. Adams told TMZ her death, which followed a tummy tuck and breast reduction, was unforeseen and could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or massive vomiting.
Dr. Adams tells us West consulted with him over a period of four months. He says she changed her mind numerous times, sometimes greenlighting the surgery and sometimes halting it.
As for the TMZ report that Beverly Hills doctor Andre Aboolian refused to conduct the surgery because of a medical condition that West had, Dr. Adams said of Dr. Aboolian, "He is sleazy and manipulating the truth to elevate his own importance."
Dr. Adams says he did nothing wrong.

It turns out that Dr. Adams has quite a number of DUIs under his belt and almost had his license revoked by the Medical Board last April.
TMZ has also revealed that Donda West's surgery lasted eight hours (twice as long as it should've) and that she was sent home when it was done (!!!!) as opposed to a recovery center.
PS: Dr. Adams is not Board Certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
