No, this is not the actual cover, but a fake version that 50 Cent's camp put out...obviously aimed at dissing Kanye. They [Fif & Kanye] did, however, actually do a photoshoot for the next issue of RollingStone though...anyways, back to the picture above. Am I the only one who thinks 50's dissing himself as much as he is Kanye? I understand the whole "gorilla unit" concept but what black man in his right mind would really go ahead and let himself be represented by a gorilla??? SMH...One step forward, five steps back. Don't know what's more annoying...the sound of 50 Cent talking shit, the fact that the bastard is probably gonna outsell Kanye, or the fact that in the 15 seconds that I actually spent watching the interview, the folks at OnSMASH use the word "effect" rather than "affect" when referring to the impact of technology on CD sales. You have different kinds of people. You have people that are extremely book smart that lack common sense so they don’t know what’s going to affect their audience. They have more information than me based on reading. For instance, Nas is a really smart guy. He reads books constantly. We were around him on the Nastradamus tour. He was almost weirder than me ’cause we would go to breakfast and he’d be there reading a book. Conceptually, I think that’s what made him drift away from what his initial audience enjoys from him and why he’s not hot right now.
When asked about what he thinks about Cam dissing him for not "being in the streets with the people", this is what 50 had to say:
"What am I supposed to do, stand on the corner and smoke weed with him? I don’t smoke weed, and I’m not standing on the corner. For what? I stood on the corner when that was my hustle. I got a new hustle and a new concept of a corner to stand on. The same idiot that you just mentioned went on 60 Minutes and said he wouldn’t tell police about [the whereabouts of] a serial killer. Only thing missing from hip-hop is an IQ test. If you’re smart, you know that’s not the fuckin’ place to say that. Then you gotta send a statement out and apologize. What does that mean? That he will snitch?"They're both idiots but 50 has a point.
In an interview with XXL Magazine where he talks about no longer taking financial responsibility for his crew, 50 expresses dismay at the fact that he's peoples don't rock G-Unit clothing. Below is an excerpt from NY Daily News:
"I looked around the room, and I was the only person with G-Unit sneakers on. But they were being paid," he adds. "It had become the norm for the check to come, but they were no longer wearing the clothes."
Remember 50's BET Awards Fiasco? Well, he claims that he skipped the first verse because he "just wasn't concentrating" because he had almost been knocked off the platform that brought him onstage by one of his dancers. Therefore, he "snapped into survival mode" and proceeded to go say w'sup to his boys in the audience. Makes perfect sense to me.
In 50 other news, he's next single is gonna be called "Ayo Technology"(???!?!?)....have no fear, the name of the song has been changed to "She Want It"; it features Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. He had originally shot the video for "Follow My Lead", which features Robin Thicke, but that project has since been shelved....damn, they don't love Curtis.

At the end of the performance, he goes "Vitamin Water, ladies & gentlemen...Vitamin Water". I don't if that was a shameless plug or an attempt to stunt on the crowd, but either way it was dumb as hell. And in conclusion, I ask, what the hell is wrong with this man?
